The percentage of nevermarried boys aged 15 to 19 who have ever had sexual intercourse fell from 60 to 46 percent between 1988 and 2002. Among girls, the percentage fell from 51 to 46 percent. ■ Many teens have had more than one sexual partner. Sexually experienced teens aged 15 to 19 are more likely to have had multiple partners than to have engaged in sex with only one person.
